Grapefruit Snack

Say goodbye to the bitterness of grapefruit, and try this sweet and savory snack I stumbled upon! Trust me when I say that it’s so strange that it’s good. With some experimentation, and the help of drizzly almond butter and spices, a staple snack in my diet was born! Grapefruit has grown on me over the years, and posses the added benefits of ample anti-inflammatory Vitamin A, and antioxidants lycopene and Vitamin C. What are you waiting for?!😉

Ingredients:

  • 1 pink/red/star ruby grapefruit

  • almond butter

  • (ceylon) cinnamon

  • chili powder

  • ground ginger

  • pink salt

Directions:

  1. Slice your grapefruit in half, then into wedges or thin slices (I like doing a mix of both!).

  2. Drizzle on some creamy almond butter,* then sprinkle on all the spices evenly over your cut up grapefruit to taste. You can experiment by adding spices to one wedge/slice of grapefruit, then working from there to suit your taste buds!

  3. That’s it! Enjoy right away!

  • Notes:

  • If your almond butter is very thick/not super creamy, vigorously mix in about 1/2 tsp coconut oil at a time to thin it out to your desired consistency. Works like a charm!
