Matcha Cream Cheese Frosting

Bake your favorite cookies, cupcakes, brownies, or whatever else you’re craving to bear this light and dreamy matcha-infused frosting. Make this in minutes without all the dairy and refined-sugars. It’s vibrant and perfect for festivities like St. Patricks Day, but also to celebrate a kids’ birthday whose favorite color is green, or to represent your team spirit on game day. The options are endless and everyone will be sure to love these!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cream cheese

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened milk

  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • heaping 1/2-3/4 cup powdered sugar*

  • 1 tbsp matcha

Directions:

  1. Add the cream cheese, coconut oil, milk, and vanilla to a large mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer to whip everything together.

  2. Add the powdered sugar and matcha then use the hand mixer once more until everything is well-incorporated.

  3. Spread onto cooled cupcakes, brownies, or anything other baked good. Enjoy!

  4. Store leftovers, if any, in an airtight container or glass jar. Keep in the fridge for up to a week for best results.

Notes:

  • I used this monk fruit powdered sugar.
