Family Trip to Italy

On my way back from studying abroad in Australia, my parents and sisters met me in Rome to kick off our family reunion! This trip was a major deal for all of us because the last international family trip we did was to the Bahamas via cruise… 15 years ago. The food was incredibly fresh, the cities were charming, and all the details are in this blog post. Comment below to let me know what you take from this breakdown and feel free to ask for any extra insights. Check out this YouTube video for more behind the scenes and insider looks into our point of view of the eight-day trip!

    • I did not get to do this tour because I arrived in Rome after the rest of my family but they raved about it.

  • Gluten-free cooking class | Sorrento

    • Cannot recommend this enough! The class lasted 3-4 hours and we got lucky with a private experience. We drank limoncello and made gnocchi, eggplant parmesan, and a lemon mousse. Everyone was so kind and it was the perfect mid-week experience to slow our trip down a bit!

  • Allegria Sorrento

  • Anna in Sorrento

  • Capri Bell Jewelry

Transportation:

  • Ferries: We took the ferries to-and-from Positano and Capri and from Napoli to Sorrento. Very user-friendly and there are even jet ferries that can get you to your destinations more efficiently.

  • Taxis: Our preferred form of transport to-and-from the airport. We took these on the island of Capri as well and they were so cute and easy to get. Be prepared to pay the driver in cash, often 20-50 euros for us.
