Basil Turkey Meatballs

These meatballs are next level! With notes of fresh basil amidst the few ingredients needed to make this, they could easily become a staple. Perfect for tossing onto a bed of leafy greens, a cozy bowl of pasta, or simply dunking in your favorite sauce. The texture is so hearty and each bite is packed with protein. So versatile and with just enough flavor for everyone to fall in love with these!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound organic ground turkey

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 cup finely-chopped, fresh basil

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • a few shakes of pink salt + pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl.

  3. Dampen your hands to prevent sticking, then mix everything together, and make sure it’s all well-incorporated.

  4. Roll the mixture into roughly 20 balls and move them to the prepared pan as you go.

  5. Place the pan in the oven, and let them cook for 20-22 minutes total. Flip each one about halfway through.

  6. Serve with pasta, on a bed of greens, or dunked in your favorite sauce! Enjoy!
