Creamy Parmesan Pasta Sauce

This savory sauce is absolutely delicious! Think: creamy alfredo but without all the inflammatory ingredients. Growing up, as I know many of us did, I would often devour hefty bowls of chicken alfredo that would leave me not feeling my best. I adore recreating comfort foods with better-for-you ingredients and this is no exception to that passion project!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/4-1/3 cup hot water*

Directions

  1. In a food processor, add all of the ingredients except for the water. Blend until smooth.

  2. Add hot water to thin. Blend once more.

  3. Pour over pasta of your choosing and enjoy!

  4. Store leftovers, if any, in a jar in the fridge for up to about two weeks for best results.

Notes:

  • Use pasta water to reduce waste :)
