Pumpkin Spice Popcorn
Pumpkin spice is a timeless flavor that takes the world by storm every time falls rolls around! This recipe gives a salty-sweet edge with a subtle hint of decadency. Popcorn was a tried-and-true snack from my childhood for the outdoor movie nights my family regularly hosted. However, we always opted for the store-bought, microwavable bags. It wasn’t until I was seventeen-ish that I really made popcorn, and now I crave it all the more. I hope you love this as much as I do!
Ingredients:
3 tbsp ghee or avocado oil
1 tsp coconut sugar
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (make your own here!)
1/2 cup organic popcorn kernels
Optional Toppings:
1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
3 tbsp mini chocolate chips
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
flakey sea salt
Directions:
In a saucepan, add the ghee or oil and turn place the pan over low-medium heat for one minute.
Add the coconut sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and popcorn kernels. Cover with a lid and turn the heat up to medium-high.
The kernels will start popping soon. Once the popping slows to a rate of every 1-2 seconds, remove the pan from the heat. Leave covered until it seems all the kernels have popped.
Add any toppings you would like and enjoy right away!
