Not Your Basic BLT

If you were anything like me when I was little, classic sandwiches were a sure-fire staple in my life! I happily ordered beloved BLT’s and club sandwiches just about everywhere I could. This savory twist on the classic lunch companion takes me back to those days and I hope it does the same for you. Between the crispy bacon and smooth avocado, yet the simplicity and ease behind each bite, I can’t get enough of this combo!

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of sandwich bread (I used this!)

  • avocado oil mayo (I used this!)

  • 1 slice of goat cheese (optional)

  • 3 tbsp sundried tomatoes

  • 2-3 organic (turkey) bacon slices

  • 2-3 organic (applewood-smoked) turkey slices

  • a handful of romaine lettuce

  • 1/2 a ripe avocados, cut into slices

Directions:

  1. Take your sandwich bread and toast them, or airfry them for just one minute on 400°F.

  2. Spread the mayo on each side, then add the slice of cheese to one of them. Feel free to toast or airfry for a bit longer here so the cheese can melt!

  3. On the cheesy slice of bread, layer on the sundried tomatoes. Cook the bacon slices and add those on top, then the turkey, romaine lettuce, and cut avocado.

  4. Place the remaining slice of bread on top of the layered one, then enjoy!
