Spicy Grapefruit Margarita (Mocktail)
Sit back and sip on this refreshing mocktail! I cultivated this recipe after laying out in the sun and taking an outdoor shower in the summer. It’s made with simple ingredients and a spicy edge. If you’re feeling extra spicy, feel free to add a splash of tequila or your alcohol of choice!
Ingredients:
2-3 slices of jalapeños
1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
juice of 1 lime
1 tsp sea salt
1 cup ice
grapefruit or lime-flavored can of sparkling water
Directions:
In a small glass/jar or cocktail shaker, toss in the jalapeños, grapefruit juice, and lime juice.
Muddle the jalapeño slices to extract their flavor.
On your glass of choice, line about a third of the rim with fresh lime juice. Place the sea salt in your hand or on a small plate. Roll the lime-covered area of the rim in the sea salt to coat it well.
Strain the muddled mixture into the salted glass. Pour in the ice then top off with the sparking water. Stir with a long spoon for about 30 seconds. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit, wedge of lime, and/or jalapeños and enjoy!
