Spicy Grapefruit Margarita (Mocktail)
Sit back and sip on this refreshing mocktail! I cultivated this recipe after laying out in the sun and taking an outdoor shower in the summer. It’s made with simple ingredients and a spicy edge. If you’re feeling extra spicy, feel free to add a splash of tequila or your alcohol of choice!
Ingredients:
- 2-3 slices of jalapeños
- 1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
- juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 cup ice
- grapefruit or lime-flavored can of sparkling water
Directions:
- In a small glass/jar or cocktail shaker, toss in the jalapeños, grapefruit juice, and lime juice.
- Muddle the jalapeño slices to extract their flavor.
- On your glass of choice, line about a third of the rim with fresh lime juice. Place the sea salt in your hand or on a small plate. Roll the lime-covered area of the rim in the sea salt to coat it well.
- Strain the muddled mixture into the salted glass. Pour in the ice then top off with the sparking water. Stir with a long spoon for about 30 seconds. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit, wedge of lime, and/or jalapeños and enjoy!
