Blueberry Electrolyte Cocktail

Cool of with this refreshing cocktail! Blueberries full of antioxidants, citrus of lemon, and an herby basil essence. Electrolytes are key to properly hydrating and I try to drink them down at least once per day. I often just shake a serving of electrolytes up with water, but love to keep things interesting and elevate the experience every so often with a fun and vibrant drink like this!

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp organic blueberries

  • juice of half a lemon

  • 4 fresh basil leaves

  • serving of electrolytes (1 tablet, tsp, etc.)*

  • 1/2-1 cup ice

  • can of lemon-flavored sparkling water

Directions:

  1. Place the blueberries, lemon juice, and basil leaves in a glass or cocktail shaker. Muddle this mixture.

  2. Strain the mixture into your glass of choice. Add the serving of electrolytes and stir or froth it in well.

  3. Pour in the ice, then top it all off with the sparkling water.

  4. Add the remaining, muddled contents, if desired as a garnish. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • I used this tri-berry flavor of electrolytes.
