Blueberry Cloud Smoothie
If you know me, you probably know I worked in a smoothie shop for three years straight when I was 15-18 years old. Miraculously, I never got tired of them, only gained confidence and discovered dozens of new ways to create delicious variations. This one is full of antioxidants, and has the ultimate macromolecule trio: complex carbs, healthy fats, and hearty protein. Everything you need to have a satiating meal or bridge snack until the next one!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup unsweetened nut milk
1/3 cup organic frozen blueberries
1/4 cup + 2-3 tbsp coconut or greek yogurt
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp date syrup
1 scoop vanilla protein
1 cup ice
1 tbsp [white] chia seeds, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Add all of the ingredients, except the additional 2-3 tbsp yogurt and chia seeds, to a blender. Blend until smooth. I recommend pulsing a few times at the end to ensure no big chunks of ice remain.
Use a spatula to scrape the remaining yogurt around the interior of your glass of choice. Pour in the prepared smoothie. Garnish with the chia seeds, if using. Enjoy right away!
