Cookies & Cream Cloud Smoothie

I used to order Chick fil-A’s cookies & cream milkshakes and Mcdonald’s oreo mcflurries on a very regular basis. Since becoming more in-tune with how high-sugar and gluten-laden foods make me feel, when the craving hits for cookies & cream, I reach for this healthier alternative. It’s dairy-free, yet totally thick and creamy. In just a few minutes, the craving is satisfied and I can always count on this staple to do the trick!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/4 cup canned coconut cream

  • 1/3-1/2 frozen banana

  • 1 tbsp almond butter

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein

  • 1 cup ice

  • 3 tbsp cacao nibs or chopped, unsweetened dark chocolate

  • 2-3 tbsp unsweetened yogurt

Directions:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Use a spoon to scrape dollops of yogurt along the sides of a (chilled) glass. Pour the smoothie inside, then enjoy!

Notes:

  • Reserve the cacao nibs or dark chocolate, blend everything else until smooth, then pulse them in for an added crunch factor!
