Tomato Cream Sauce

This smooth sauce is made for all the pasta dishes and even gooey grilled cheeses your heart desires! Each taste is warm and light with the thickness to consume all you so choose to douse with it. I worked with what I had at the time and made a totally dairy-free version for us to enjoy that doesn’t compromise for taste!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup coconut cream

  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast, or grated parmesan

  • 15-ounce can diced tomatoes

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Toss all of the ingredients in a food processor. Blend until smooth.

  2. Serve over your preferred type of cooked pasta or as desired and enjoy! Store leftovers, if any, in an airtight container or jar for up to 3 weeks for best results.

Notes:

  • The best way to heat and maintain its flavor is to pour the sauce into a skillet then bring to a light bowl over low-medium heat.
