Cinnamon Salted Caramel Bliss Balls
The caramel and sea salt combination is a classic for good reason! These energizing bites prove it and sprinkles of cinnamon interject to seal the deal! Ideal for pre/post-workout fuel to satisfy any sweet craving and provide a natural energy boost. Dates are the only sweetener welcome here and truly all that’s needed. They’re freezer-friendly, no-bake bites making these so quick to whip up and even easier to grab on-the-go!
Ingredients:
1 heaping cup dates, pitted
1 cup walnuts
1/4 cup coconut shreds, unsweetened
2 tbsp cacao nibs (optional)
2 tbsp flax seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
Directions:
If the dates are hard, soak them in hot water for about 10-15 minutes.
In a food processor, blend the dates and walnuts until crumbly.
Add the remaining ingredients. Blend everything until a smooth, sticky consistency is reached.
Using a damp spoon or your hands, roll into balls of your desired size. Place each on a freezer-safe tray or plate lined with parchment paper.
Transfer to the freezer and grab one, or two, whenever the craving hits. Enjoy!
Notes:
Pecans, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and almonds can be swapped in for the walnuts.
Sub chia and/or hemp seeds for the flax seeds.
