Cacao Crunch Smoothie

Anyone who has a sweet tooth, or simply craves chocolate, needs this in their lives. It’s so creamy, with sporadic crunches from tiny cacao nibs. You just need about five ingredients, to create this drink that’s tough to put down, trust me. Perfect to help cool down on a hot, summer day or cozy up inside! Move over Wendy’s frosty, so we can all opt for this healthier, yet delicious drink instead!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 bananas

  • 3/4 cup dairy free yogurt, unsweetened plain or vanilla

  • 2 tbsp almond butter

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • 2 tbsp coconut cream

  • 1 cup ice

  • 1-2 tbsp cacao nibs

  • 1-2 cups spinach (optional)

  • 1-2 tbsp seeds of choice

  • 1-2 scoops collagen peptides, unflavored (optional)

Directions

  1. Place the banana, yogurt, almond butter, cacao powder, and coconut cream in the blender. If desired, also add the spinach, seeds, and collagen.

  2. Blend until smooth, then add the ice and repeat.

  3. Pour the cacao nibs in and briefly pulse, so there’s a crunchy texture.

  4. Transfer to a cup, and sprinkle extra cacao nibs on top, if you’re feeling wild.

  5. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • The riper the bananas, the sweeter it will be.

  • Freeze your cup in advance, to keep it cooler for longer.

  • The coconut cream is for a smoother consistency. Subbing 1/4-1/2 one avocado will also do the trick, leaving no taste behind either!

  • Can use any nut or seed butter, but some including peanut butter, will affect the taste.
