Perfect for a quick, on-the-go treat to get anyone up on an early morning. No matter what, the scenario is, you’ll fall in love with this sweet drink, all while saving money!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk of choice
1/4 cup cold brewed coffee
1 medjool date, pitted
1/4 tsp Himalayan pink sea salt
5-10 ice cubes
cinnamon, for topping (optional)
Sea Salted Caramel (bigger, original recipe here):
2 tbsp almond butter
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp vanilla
pink salt, to taste
Directions:
Mix all of the caramel’s ingredients, except for the vanilla, together in a small saucepan over very low heat. Stir frequently, until everything is well-incorporated, then remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla, then let this cool for at least 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a blender, mix the milk, coffee, date, and sea salt. Blend until desired level of froth is reached.
Using a spoon, scrape the caramel inside your glass or mug of choice, and dip the rim into it (totally optional).
Pour in ice cubes, then the frothy mixture into your glass or mug.
Dip the spoon in more caramel and stir it around inside (optional).
Enjoy!
Notes:
If the date is hard, remove the pit, then set it in boiling hot water for a few minutes, or until soft. This will allow it to blend much better.
To make the coffee not as watered down once the ice melts, prepare coffee ice cubes in advance. Trust me, they are a game changer!
