Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

In all honesty, I am still not sure if this is more of a smoothie or milkshake. Although, I know a few things, including how insanely thick and creamy each sip is, all at once! It is packed with the classic, spotlighted flavor for fall and makes anyone crave the comfort of a cozy blanket and crackling fire. Furthermore, it has zero added sugars and optional boosts of fiber, immunity, and protein. The perfect midday snack or breakfast to get any day off on a great start, enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, extra ripe + frozen

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin purée

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened milk

  • 1/2 cup yogurt, unsweetened

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (make your own here!)

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup ice

Optional Add-ins/Toppings:

  • 1-2 scoops collagen peptides

  • 2 tbsp cacao nibs

  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds

  • 1-2 tbsp chia/flax/hemp seeds

Directions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients, except the ice, until smooth.

  2. Add the ice in and blend again. Use ice and milk to create the ideal consistency for YOU (see why in the notes)!

  3. Pour into your favorite cup and add toppings, if desired

  4. Enjoy!

Notes:

  • For an added crunch, pulse the cacao nibs and seeds in add the end. Just be sure to grab a wider straw!

  • Since the one banana is the only sweetener, the riper the one you chose is the sweeter the smoothie will be.
