Basil Hummus
This creamy, delicious dip is so easy to incorporate, whether with salted crackers or even as a satiating salad or sandwich topping. The flavors are simply a blend of two fan-favorites— hummus and fresh pesto! All of the ingredients are nut-free and form a vibrant, bright-green combo. With under ten ingredients that you likely already consider staples, it is all done in minutes and ready to enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup chickpeas
1 cup fresh basil, loosely packed
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 avocado, pitted
1 tbsp cracked pepper
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp pink salt
Directions:
In a food processor, blend the chickpeas, basil leaves, and evoo together until smooth.
Add in the lemon juice, avocado half, and each spice. Blend everything once again and feel free to adjust the spices to taste!
Serve with crunchy crackers, fresh veggies, or as a satiating salad topping. Enjoy!
Store leftovers, if any, in an airtight container in the fridge for up to about 10 days.
