Homemade Paleo Peach Jam
The 3-4 ingredient, homemade jam we’ve all been waiting for! There’s nothing like making it from scratch, especially because you can adjust the sweetness and texture to your taste buds, and easily leave out the added sugars without even missing them! This vibrant jam is also made with wholesome ingredients we can buy for most of the year. Perfect for spreading onto crispy slices of toast, fluffy pancake stacks, and even tossing into or on baked goods.
Directions:
Grease a medium-sized saucepan with the 2 tbsp of coconut oil.
Add about half the peaches to the pan over very low heat. Cover this for about 3 minutes, or until they start becoming soft.
Add the other half of the peaches, and stir everything well. Cover for 5 minutes, turn the heat up to low-medium, and stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Add more coconut oil, as needed, if the peach slices do start sticking to the pan.
Use a fork, spatula, or muddler to mash the peaches as much as possible to start forming the jam-like texture.
Stir in the cinnamon, if using, and seeds. Cover for another 5-10 minutes, then mash the peaches until your desired texture is achieved. Let the jam simmer with the lid off for a final few minutes to allow it to thicken up.
Go ahead and enjoy on bagels, toast, and waffles, and even in baked goods! Store leftovers, if any, in an airtight container or cute, glass jar for up to one week!
Notes:
I left the skin on the peaches, but you can absolutely to remove it from (some of) them if you prefer to.
