Tahini Chocolate Bars

No oven is needed for these dairy-free gems! Made with a four-ingredient, shortbread-esque base and two-ingredient dark chocolate layer, they’re so simple but come together beautifully. The flakey sea salt on top essentially elevates every bite and accentuates the not-too-sweetness of it all. With healthy fats and wholesome ingredients, you might feel so inclined to go ahead and double the batch!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups tahini

  • 3 tbsp raw honey

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 cup dark chocolate

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • flakey sea salt, to finish

Directions:

  1. Combine the tahini and honey together in a bowl. Gradually fold in the almond flour and cinnamon until everything is well-combined.

  2. Line a rimmed plate or small baking sheet with parchment paper and create an even layer of the dough.

  3. Let this chill in the freezer for at least 45 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth.

  4. Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled dough and ensure it spreads across evenly. Freeze for another 15 minutes.

  5. Top with flakey sea salt as desired, slice, and enjoy! Store leftovers, if any, in an airtight container in the freezer.
