Man-Go Green Smoothie
During summer, I drink countless, creamy smoothies. Although, this may be one of my new favorites! All smoothies do a great job of providing the benefits of greens, while hiding the taste, and this is no exception. This refreshing drink contains carbs, fiber, immunity, omega-3 fats, potassium, and an optional serving of protein. The thick texture even allows toppings, like cacao nibs or nut butter, if that’s your thing. Need I say more?
Ingredients:
1/2 cup mango
1 banana, frozen
1 cup organic spinach
1/2 avocado, medium-sized + ripe (key to an extra creamy texture!)
1/4 cup almond/coconut milk (this is what I used!)
1-2 tbsp lemon juice, fresh-squeezed
1 tbsp flax seeds
1/2 tsp ginger
1 date, pitted
1 scoop collagen peptides, unflavored (optional)
1/4-1/2 cup ice
Directions:
Blend the mango, banana, spinach, avocado, and milk, until smooth.
Add the lemon juice, flax seeds, ginger, date, and collagen peptides (if using), and blend again.
Use the ice to reach desired consistency.
Top with cacao nibs or nut butter or drink immediately.
Sip like nobody’s watching!
Notes:
Can substitute or add other leafy greens, like kale.
Any milk can be used.
Chia seeds can be substituted for flax seeds.
If the date is hard, microwave it for 30 seconds, before blending.
